A North Carolina native, Angie has called Wilmington home for most of her life. After graduating from New Hanover High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Grades Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She began her teaching career with New Hanover County Schools, where she taught middle school science, social studies, mathematics, and language arts. During her time in public education, she also served as an Academically Gifted Coordinator and Professional Development Systems Site Coordinator, helping support both students and fellow educators.
In 2005, Angie joined the faculty at Myrtle Grove Christian School, where she faithfully served for 17 years. During her tenure, she taught upper school science and developed a reputation for creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspired students to explore God's creation. Passionate about environmental education and curriculum development, she pursued certification through the North Carolina Office of Environmental Education, combining her love of science with her appreciation for the outdoors. In 2022 she received her Master in Instructional Technology from UNCW.
Angie has been part of Northside School of Christian Leadership since its earliest days, serving alongside her husband, Glenn, in helping establish the school's vision and foundation. Serving as NSCL's Assistant Administrator she oversees and directs the curriculum development and programing. She is excited to continue investing in students by cultivating both academic excellence and a deep appreciation for God's world through Christ-centered education.
Angie and Glenn have been married for more than 30 years. Their daughter, Allyson, works for Medac and lives in Wilmington with her husband, Jacob. Their son, Michael, serves as the middle and high school pastor at Mars Hill Community Church in Georgia, where he and his wife, Lexi, are raising their son, Peter. Angie enjoys spending time with her growing family, exploring God's creation, observing wildlife, gardening, and serving alongside Glenn at Northside Church.
