Angie Pleasant

Born and raised in Wilmington, NC, Angie graduated from New Hanover High School, where she met her future husband, Glenn Pleasant.  Angie attended Meredith College and then transferred to UNCW, where she majored in Middle School Education with a concentration in Science and Language Arts and began teaching for New Hanover County Schools upon graduation.  In 2005, Angie was hired by Myrtle Grove Christian School as a middle school science and math teacher.  During her 17 years at MGCS, Angie served as science chair and Science Olympiad Head Coach.  In her latter years of her time there, she became the STEM Coordinator and Curriculum Director and helped develop summer programs for the School.  Angie also served as the Distance Learning Director during COVID and served on the Leadership Team to advance the development of the school's nature center and other learning initiatives.  In the spring of 2022, Angie completed her Master's degree in Instructional Technology from the University of NC at Wilmington.  Angie has been married to her husband, Glenn, for 29 years.  They have two children, Allyson and Michael, who have both married wonderful spouses.  Angie loves to find the beauty in art and nature and loves to share that with others.
