Amy Hancock

Born and raised in Indiana, Amy eventually settled in Fayetteville, NC, where she lived for over 20 years. While there, she served at Lafayette Baptist Church in several ministries. She also worked at their Wee Care preschool program as a baby and three-year-old assistant teacher and was a childcare worker for different programs and events. She also attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and worked for the USPS Remote Encoding Center.

Amy then moved to the Georgia/Alabama at Fort Benning (now Fort Moore). There, she volunteered in a variety of areas that served the base’s children and families. For her faithful service, she received the Commander's Award for Public Service and the Family of the Year Volunteer Award for 2015. She then moved back to North Carolina and settled in Wilmington, where she attends Lifepoint Church.

Amy is the proud mom of four children and the grandma of four grandchildren. She recently graduated from Cape Fear Community College with an Associate’s in Applied Sciences with Honors and received the President’s Award. Her favorite things are baking, collecting Nativities, and spending time with family!
