Anne Easterling

Born and raised in Wilmington, Anne Easterling attended Wilmington Christian Academy and later graduated from E. A. Laney High School. She continued her education at Wingate University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from UNCW in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with an emphasis in psychology.  Over the course of her teaching career, Anne has taught 2nd-5th grades in both public and private schools in New Hanover, Franklin, and Wake Counties. During her career, she has served in various leadership roles such as grade-level chair, Math Olympiad coach, Science Olympiad elementary coach, and as the Elementary Principal at Myrtle Grove Christian School for two years. In 2020, Mrs. Easterling was honored to be the recipient of the Barbara Nail Award for Teaching Excellence after being nominated by her MGCS colleagues and parents. She holds a North Carolina teaching license and is accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International. Anne has been a part of the development of NSCL since serving as part of the initial steering committee and is excited to continue as a teacher in its inaugural year of serving the Wilmington community.


Anne is married to Joe Easterling who serves as the Minister of Discipleship at Northside Church. They have been married for over 25 years and have two daughters. Their daughter Noelle works as a receptionist at Hendrick Toyota, and their daughter Moriah is studying graphic design at Liberty University. Anne serves alongside her family at Northside Church where she ministers as an adult Life Group teacher for ladies on Sunday mornings and as a leader for the College and Young Adult Life Group, as well as serving as a member of the Northside Church worship team. Anne enjoys spending time with her immediate and extended family, relaxing at the beach, watching sports with her husband (particularly the UNC Tarheels), and reading on her back porch.
