The curriculum at Northside School of Christian Leadership is designed to achieve the Expected Student Outcomes. NSCL selects a blend of both Christian and secular textbooks and materials based on their effectiveness to achieve learning objectives. Biblical worldview and leadership principles will be incorporated into instruction in every subject area.
In addition to core academic subjects, enrichment courses will be offered to achieve outcomes and to enhance the overall academic experience. Examples of enrichment courses are physical education, computer, music, library, chapel, and art.
Grading Scale/Report Cards
K-2nd grade evaluation standards are performance-based. Grades 3 and 4 will be evaluated on a 10-point scale in core subjects- reading, language arts, math, science, Bible, and social studies. Enrichment grades for K-4th are S, N, U.
All classes in grades K through 4th grade will be assigned regularly scheduled homework based on developmentally appropriate time allotments, except for Wednesday nights so that students may participate in mid-week church functions.
Lunch must be brought from home each day. Snacks and drinks may be purchased at lunch. Each Friday students may purchase pizza from the cafeteria.
